Story Background
Scientists have been researching the possibility
of biological immortality for years, and experts claim that
advancements in this area of science may be perfected within the next
twenty years. Astounding! Etude is a story that takes place in the realm
of the semi-paranormal, but the existence of immortals
among humans is not only faith-based, it is scientifically
plausible—providing a clever twist between fantasy and reality.
“Beth and Jonathan are characters who showed up
in my head last August. They revealed their backgrounds and
then began having conversations with each other. The conversations
repeated themselves until I wrote them down. No sooner would I write
down one of their conversations, than another would take place.
Jonathan and Beth have
a story to tell, and apparently they chose me to write it. I had
no idea at the time that their story would turn into a full-length
novel. Once completed, I realized the story was not finished—so I have begun work
on the sequel. Etude was born of inspiration; it has been a gift—and a true
pleasure to write.”
